It's a family affair!

Brothers Atley and Rowan Calvert will go head-to-head in the WHL's Eastern Conference Championship final which starts tomorrow night in Saskatoon.

Atley has played his entire junior career with his hometown Moose Jaw Warriors while little brother Rowan is in his 3rd season with the Blades.

You can bet their mom and dad will be in attendance. Can you imagine having two sons playing for a Western Hockey League championship?

Father Jeff Calvert left an indelible mark on the WHL back in the 90s.

He got it started in Moose Jaw before he was traded to Tacoma where he became a star in the Rockets' nets.

I called a most memorable game on the radio when the Warriors were in Tacoma to play the Rockets. It was December 29th, 1992 at the Tacoma Dome.

Goalie Calvert had already registered an assist and the Rockets were up 5-4 late in the game. The Warriors pulled their goalie and with 6 attackers, got the puck in deep in the Tacoma zone.

Without hesitation, Calvert played the puck behind his net, took a strike and fired the puck the length of the ice and into the Warriors net, putting an exclamation mark on a 6-4 win.

He was the winning goalie and chipped in a goal and an assist.

The Calverts - It's all in the family.

(We still have the call on that Jeff Calvert goal in the archives. Have a listen.)
