Moose Jaw Police responded to 46 calls for service.

9:00 am – 500 Block Athabasca St E – Break and Enter – Sometime since Saturday a job site was entered, and tools and other property were taken.  Police continue to investigate.

9:24 am – 200 Block High St E – Break and Enter – Sometime since April 27 a residence was entered and property was taken.  Police continue to investigate.

11:05 am – 300 Block High St W – Hit & Run – A vehicle was hit while parked, causing approximately $200 of damage.

1:13 pm – 600 Block Laurier St – Bicycle Theft – Sometime after 10:00 pm on April 29, a child’s black and yellow batman bike was taken.  This was reported for informational purposes.

1:36 pm – 0 Block Thatcher Dr E – Found Property – A Samsung flip phone and two wallets were turned in to police.  The wallet owners were identified and the property will be returned.

2:18 pm – 1st Av NW at Caribou St W – Erratic Driving – A plate number and vehicle description were obtained from a vehicle that was turning without signalling and cut the complainant off.  Police are still investigating to speak with the registered owner.

3:16 pm – 0 Block Hochelaga St W – Breach Probation – A subject failed to complete their community service hours as directed by court order.  The subject is to be charged with breach of probation.

3:20 pm - 0 Block Hochelaga St W – Breach Probation – A subject failed to complete their community service hours and report to their worker as directed by court order.  The subject is to be charged with breach of probation.

3:34 pm – 400 Block High St W – Vehicle Fire – A vehicle started on fire while being worked on due to a mechanical failure, causing approximately $1000 of damage.

4:21 pm – 5th Av NW at Fairford St W – Erratic Driving – a plate number and vehicle description were obtained from a vehicle that almost hit another vehicle and had an occupant throwing garbage out the window.  Police are still investigating to speak with the registered owner.

5:00 pm – 1200 Block Grandview St W – Mischief – Kids reportedly threw rocks through a window at an abandoned residence.  The kids were gone prior to police arrival. There was damage to the residence already, and they were unable to tell if any of it was new.

7:05 pm – 1000 Block Willow Av – Break and Enter – Sometime between 9:00 pm on April 29 and the time of this call, a residence was entered through a window and property was taken.  Police continue to investigate.

7:32 pm – 800 Block 7th Av NE – Fraud – Suspected cheque fraud occurred.  A complainant if to attend the police station with appropriate documents.

8:04 pm – 1000 Block Montgomery St – Assault – Police attended a residence for an assault in progress, with one party bleeding from their head.  Three parties were spoken with and one was transported to hospital by EMS for injuries. One person was detained for charges of assault.  The subject charged was held until sober and was released on conditions. They are to appear in court at a later date.

9:37 pm – 800 Block 9th Av NW – Dispute – There was a verbal dispute between two parties.  Police are still investigating to speak with one of the parties involved.

10:42 pm – Moose Jaw – Well Being Check – A family was concerned for a subject after receiving concerning messages.  The subject was located in Moose Jaw and was in good health.  Their family was advised.

1:39 am – 1500 Block Hochelaga St W – Insecurity – there was an open garage in the area with kids seen in the alley.  Kids took off running when they were yelled at by the complainant.  The residence was attended where the garage door was left open and the homeowner advised that nothing was damaged and nothing was missing.

1:46 am – 200 Block Mulberry Ln – Unwanted Guest – A subject showed up for work under the influence of drugs.  The subject was not welcome to be there and was escorted off the property and taken home.

2:31 am – 800 Block Duffield St – Well Being Check – A family was concerned for a subject after receiving concerning text message.  Police checked several locations with negative results.  The family located the subject, who was fine.

3:47 am – 9th Av NW at Simcoe St – Prohibited Driving – A routine traffic stop resulted in a vehicle being seized for 60 days and the driver being charged for driving while prohibited to do so.  The subject was released for court at a later date.

Police responded to four 911 calls.
Police responded to one parking bylaw infraction.
Police assisted other agencies in three cases.
Police issued three warrants for failures to appear for Ident.
