Moose Jaw Police responded to 28 calls for service.

8:11 am –1200 Block Irving Av – Dispute – Garbage was thrown into the yard overnight by a neighbour.  Cigarette butts were cleaned up.  Police are still investigating to speak with the neighbour.

11:10 am – 900 Block Maplewood Dr – Hit & Run – This occurred sometime overnight, and caused approximately $2500 of damage .

11:20 am – 500 Block Home St W – Fraud – This occurred on March 9, when eight fraudulent transactions were made using stolen credit cards.  Police are still investigating to review the video.

1:47 pm – 300 Block Thatcher Dr E – Hit & Run – A vehicle was hit while in a parking lot, and a note was left on the windshield with the offending vehicle’s info.  Police are still investigating to contact the registered owner of the offending vehicle.

3:34 pm – 200 Block Main St N – Theft Under – A subject was acting suspicious.  They were caught stealing and were found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  The subject was held in cells on outstanding warrants and new charges.

3:56 pm – 1500 Block Vaughan St – Theft Under – A vehicle was entered sometime overnight and Oakley sunglasses, a battery pack and change was taken.  This was reported for informational purposes.

6:20 pm – Grace St at Prince Charles Pl – Dangerous Driving – A subject drove through a construction site, failing to stop when workers attempted to stop.  The driver was warned as per the workers’ wishes.

9:38 pm – 200 Block High St E – Dispute – Verbal disputes occurred between two parties, with one not liking what the other had to say.  This was mediated by police.

11:00 pm – 100 Block Everton Cr – Dispute – A verbal argument occurred over parenting issues, and the parties agreed to separate for the night.  This was mediated by police.

11:10 pm – 1100 Block Simcoe St – Disturbance – A vehicle was in a parking lot with the headlights facing into the residence of the complainant. The vehicle’s driver was shining their brights into the window.  The occupants of the vehicle were spoken to, and they advised that the complainant had shined a green laser in their eyes first.

12:07 am – 9th Av NW at Thatcher Dr W – Impaired Driving – There was a report of a black Nissan truck failing to stop at the red lights on 9th Avenue North West, and was last seen eastbound on Thatcher.  Police patrolled the area; however, the truck was not located.  No plate number was provided for follow up.

12:21 am – 1600 Block Main St N – Flight from Police – The plate number and vehicle description were obtained for a vehicle that failed to stop for police.  Police were at the same location as the vehicle and occupants prior to the flight and have video surveillance to identify the suspects.  Charges are pending.

2:10 am – Unwanted Guest – 1000 Block Manitoba St E – Intoxicated subjects were no longer getting along, and one party becoming aggressive towards others.  Upon police arrival the unwanted subject had left.  No further police involvement was requested.

2:32 am – Impaired Driving – 9th Av NE at Manitoba St E – A vehicle was stopped leaving the scene of an unwanted guest that other police members were at.  The subject was found to be under the influence and was issued an ASD Demand, which resulted in a “fail” reading.  The subject was detained for impaired driving and was transported to the Police Station, where further breath samples were taken.  The subject was charged for exceeding .08 BAC and impaired driving, and the vehicle was seized for 30 days.  The subject was held in cells until sober, and is to be released for court at a later date.

4:53 am – 1200 Block 3rd Av NE – Well Being Check – A subject was located in fine health.  The complainant was advised.

Police responded to two 911 calls.
Police assisted one other government agency.
Police responded to six city after hours calls.
Police executed two warrants.
Police completed one curfew check.
