Moose Jaw Police responded to 59 calls for service.

7:22 am – 600 Block Oxford St W – Towed Vehicle – A vehicle was blocking a driveway. The owner could not be contacted and the vehicle was consequently towed.

8:42 am – 1400 Block 9th Av NE - Well Being Check – A residence was attended and the occupants were checked on. All were found to be in good health.

8:36 am – 800 Block Lillooet St W – Break & Enter/ Theft – A business was entered overnight and the ATM was broken into, with money being taken. Police continue to investigate.

8:47 am – 1st Av Ne at Manitoba St E – Motor Vehicle Accident – Two vehicles collided, resulting in approximately $5000 of damage and one ticket for failing to yield the right of way.

8:59 am – 500 Block Thatcher Dr E – Seized Vehicle – A vehicle was seized after a routine traffic stop revealed that the driver had a suspended licence.

9:48 am – 0 Block Bluebell Cr – Theft – Sometime overnight an unlocked truck was entered and brand new tools were stolen. Serial numbers were provided for the items, which were added to the database as stolen.

9:54 am – 400 Block North Service Rd – Seized Vehicle – A vehicle bearing Ontario plates was parked in a lot for three days. The vehicle was seized by police and the investigation continues.

10:42 am – 300 Block Main St N – Fraud – A subject fell for a texting scam and is out approximately $1000.00. This was reported for information as international fraud.

11:49 am – 100 Block Duffield St – Dog Barking – Dogs were barking constantly while the sidewalk was being shovelled. The owners who refused to take the dog inside were spoken to. This ongoing dispute was mediated with police presence.

12:26 pm – 800 Block Thatcher Dr E – Seized Vehicle – A vehicle was seized for 30 days after a routine traffic stop revealed that the driver did not have a valid licence.

12:45 pm – 0 Block Bluebell Cr – Motor Vehicle Accident – Two vehicles collided, resulting in approximately $20,000 of damage. One driver was transported to the hospital by EMS.

1:00 pm – 400 Block Wood Lily Dr – Harassing Communication – Unwanted texts were being received and communication was no longer wanted.  All parties were spoken to and agreed to cease contact.

1:18 pm – 1200 Block Main St N – Motor Vehicle Accident – Two vehicles collided, resulting in approximately $25,000 of damage, two tows and one driver being issued a ticket.

1:34 pm - 0 Block Elisia Dr – Harassing Calls – Unwanted text messages were being received. The complainant was advised to block the number.

2:04 pm – 0 Block Caribou St W – Theft – A truck fuelled up with gas totalling $130.00 and left without paying.  No plate number was obtained; however, video surveillance was obtained. Police continue to investigate.

3:47 pm – 1200 Block 5th Av NW – Dispute – There was a dispute between roommates over property and accusations against one another. Police are to speak with all parties involved.

5:00 pm – 9th Av NW at Highway 1 – Dangerous Driving – A plate number and vehicle description were obtained from a vehicle that passed on a solid line with the driver then slamming on the brakes. The registered owner and/or driver are to be spoken to.

5:20 pm – 0 Block Taylor Cr – Theft – Sometime overnight a vehicle was entered and property was taken. This was reported for informational purposes.

7:15 pm – 1000 Block Main St N – Intoxicated Person – A subject was thought to be intoxicated and walking into traffic. The subject was located by police and found to be sober, but the individual did not want to walk in the snow and was walking in a more traversable portion of the road. The subject was advised to walk on the sidewalk on the other side of the street.

8:04 pm – 200 Block Lillooet St W – Motor Vehicle Accident – There was a two vehicle collision resulting in approximately $8,000 of damage, two injuries, two tows and one charge for driving while disqualified.

8:26 pm – 1000 Block Grace St - Motor Vehicle Accident – A truck collided with two parked vehicles, resulting in approximately $25,000 of damage, two tows and one charge for driving without due care and attention.

9:27 pm – 1200 Block 5th Av NW – Dispute – There was a dispute between roommates that was mediated by police.

11:00 pm – 1200 Block Henleaze Av – Well Being Check – The subject was located and in good health.

11:20 pm – 1400 Block Caribou St E – Well Being Check – The subject was located and given assistance.  Police will continue to investigate.

1:54 am – 500 Block Coteau St W – Assist to Locate – A 13-year-old did not return home after school. Several residences were checked by the individual’s parents with negative results.  Police obtained a photo and description and checked several locations with negative results. The file was passed on to the day shift.

Police responded to four city after hours callouts.
