Moose Jaw Police responded to 44 calls for service.

7:08 am – Theft of Auto – Sometime within the past 15 minutes an unlocked vehicle was stolen from outside of a residence. Taken was a black 2016 Dodge Ram half ton truck bearing Saskatchewan plate 679KCF. A stolen auto form was signed and the vehicle was added to the Canada wide system as stolen.

7:39 am – Break and Enter – Sometime overnight a garage was entered via the overhead garage door. Taken was a BB Gun, as well as the garage being rummaged through. Items were seized for processing by the Forensic Identification Unit. Police continue to investigate.

8:39 am – A suspect vehicle from a hit and run was located and towed to a towing compound for further police investigation.

9:17 am – Hit and Run – A hit and run occurred in a parking lot on November 29, 2018. SGI forms are to be filled out and submitted.

9:52 am – Theft – Belongings were stolen from a vehicle. Police continue to investigate.

10:13 am – Suspicious Person – A person was acting suspiciously in the area and the complainant was concerned they may be going to break into a house. Police attended and noted that no residences had been broken into. The area was searched and the suspicious person was not located.

12:01 pm – Theft from Vehicle – Sometime overnight an unlocked vehicle was entered. Taken were some keys and binoculars.

3:54 pm – Theft – Projection Christmas lights valued at $60 were stolen. This was reported for information purposes.

5:00 pm – Fraud – Someone fraudulently cashed a cheque for $750. Police continue to investigate.

7:57 pm – Assist to Locate – A complainant was unable to get a hold of family members. Police were able to make contact and advised the subject to contact family.

8:02 pm – Threats – A complainant was receiving threats from another person. The subject was to be spoken to as per the complainant’s wishes and was advised to stop contact.

9:19 pm – Food Fraud – There was a report of someone leaving an establishment without paying their tab. The subject was located in the area and was arrested for obtaining food by fraud and being drunk in public. The subject was held in cells until sober and is to be released in the morning with a later court date.

9:33 pm – Theft of Auto – A vehicle was stolen sometime between 6:40 pm and 9:33 pm. The doors were locked and the keys weren’t inside. Taken was SK 444HEN, a green Chevy Avalanche. A stolen auto form was signed and the vehicle was added to the Canada wide system as stolen.

9:37 pm – Dispute – There was a dispute between two parties resulting in a minor assault. The dispute was mediated, the parties separated, and the subject was advised to attend MJPS to provide a statement when sober.

9:50 pm – Impaired Driving – There was a report of a possible impaired driver hitting another vehicle.  The subject was arrested for impaired driving and exceeding .08. The subject was held in cells until sober and was to be released in the morning for a later court date.

9:57 pm – Breach of Recognizance – There was a report of a subject making contact with someone they’re on conditions of no contact with. The subject was to be warned to stop all contact as per the complainant’s wishes.

10:20 pm – Dispute – A verbal dispute took place between family members. They agreed to go home for the night to allow things to cool off.

10:25 pm – Dispute – A dispute between two parties resulted in property being damaged. One party left prior to police arrival. The subject was advised to attend MJPS to provide a statement.

12:33 am – Intoxicated Person – There was a report of a person lying in the street. The intoxicated subject was located and assessed by EMS, and was taken to the hospital and left in their care.

3:13 am – A subject switched a plate from one vehicle to the other and then drove. The subject was located at home and was warned for their actions.

3:50 am – Recovered Stolen Vehicle – A vehicle was located and towed to a compound for further police investigation.

Police responded to eight 911 calls.
Police responded to two alarm calls.
Police responded to one parking bylaw infraction.
Police assisted other agencies in three cases.
Police executed two warrants.
PACT was deployed on one occasion.
