Moose Jaw Police responded to 36 calls for service.

7:56 am – Hit and Run – A hit and run to a passenger side mirror occurred on November 9. The damage is estimated at $1,000, and SGI forms were filled out and submitted.

8:08 am – Fraud Fare – A subject skipped out on paying for taxi fare. The loss is estimated at $50, and police continue to investigate.

9:32 am – Suspicious Person – A subject who was thought to have a knife in their back pocket was walking in the middle of the road. Upon police arrival the subject had left the area, and after searching the area and several surrounding streets the subject was not located.

10:41 am – Dispute – A complainant reported unwanted communication via Facebook, and advice was given.

11:02 am – Dispute – An ongoing dispute took place between two parties. The dispute was mediated.

11:28 am – Insecurity – A door appeared to be blown open by the wind. Police attempted to contact the homeowner and secured the residence.

12:17 pm – Mischief – A dispute took place between two parties and was mediated.

12:27 pm – Theft – There was theft of property from a shared laundry room. The loss was estimated at $1,400, and police continue to investigate.

2:01 pm – Found Bikes – The bikes are to be picked up and police will attempt to identify the owner.

3:21 pm – Trespassing – A subject was found on property they had been previously banned from. Police are investigating for possible charges.

3:41 pm – Dispute – A verbal dispute took place between several people. All parties were spoken to, and police advised them to stop all contact.

3:49 pm – Break and Enter – A basement door to a dwelling unit was kicked in. No one was inside, and police continue to investigate.

3:58 pm – Hit and Run – A hit and run was done to the driver’s side door and a grey paint transfer was left behind. The damage was estimated at $10,000, and SGI forms were filled out and submitted.

4:23 pm – Unwanted Guest – A subject was loitering inside a building with no reason to be there. The subject was asked to leave by police and there were no further problems with the subject.

5:03 pm – Hit and Run – A hit and run occurred and damaged a vehicle front bumper. The damage was estimated at $1,500, and SGI forms were filled out and submitted.

6:13 pm – MVA with Injuries – A two vehicle accident resulted in one minor injury. Both vehicles were towed. The damage was estimated at $50,000, and charges are pending.

6:43 pm – Break and Enter – One adult male has been charged with break and enter and assault with a weapon. The subject is being held in cells to be released in front of a judge with several conditions for a later court date.

12:55 am – Assist Other Police Agency – Moose Jaw Police Service provided a breath tech for Highway Patrol for an impaired driving investigation.

3:23 am – Hit and Run – Police are investigating a hit and run that caused damage to a travel trailer and home. The offending vehicle has been towed until follow up contact can be made with the registered owner.

Police responded to seven 911 calls.
Police assisted other agencies in two cases.
Police completed one curfew check.
Police executed three warrants.
