SHANNON & ANDREW
Here's our story!
Andrew and I have been together now for almost two years (February 8th is our anniversary!! Woohoo). Our story is a little unique as to how we met.
Andrew is from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and I'm from small town Saskatchewan. However, my mom is from the east coast as well; I've always considered NL a second home. Andrew moved here three years ago, because he works at 15 Wing as an Air Traffic Controller. A family friend from Newfoundland informed me that a distant relative of his was moving to Moose Jaw to work, and asked if it would be okay if he gave Andrew my contact info. At first I was confused, and didn't really want to go on a "blind date." My friend reassured it wouldn't be as a date, more so as a friend to show him around Saskatchewan if he needed. I thought about it, then said it would be alright if he needed to call me.
After months had passed and I still didn't hear from him, which really didn't bother me any (lol) because I had no idea who he was.
One weekend my mom and I were coming to Moose Jaw to have a spa weekend, and afterwards we were going out for supper and drinks. As we were headed to Bobbys place, my mother informs me she asked Andrew to join us. I was in shock and totally confused. Questioning my moms choices as to why she did this, she explains, "Shannon, you don't get it.. You grew up in SK, this is your home. I'm from NL too and I know it's always nice to know someone from where you're from." Long story short, I was so mad at my mom for asking this random guy to our dinner... until he walked in the door. I had no idea what he looked like until this point. This handsome 6'4 dude just walked in and I just about melted. He joined us for dinner and I was so happy my mom invited, because little did I know, that night I met my soulmate.
Now Andrew and I are living together in Moose Jaw. We got took possession of our house in July and life is great. Andrew came into my life at the right time and I don't know what I would do without him. He's my support system, my best friend and my one and only. I know our journey together has been short so far, but I know it's one that's going to last a lifetime.
And that's why I think we're, Moose Jaw's "Sweetest couple."

CINDY & GERALD
Gerald and I meet about 13 years ago. I had a little coffee shop downtown. He would come in for coffee and one of my yummy cinnamon buns before he had to start his night shift at the rail yard. We would chat. Every once and a while he would come in for lunch, if it was slow I would sit and visit with him. I was going through a very rough patch at that point in my life and he was just very kind and easy to talk to. I ended up closing my cafe and moving to Maple Creek.
2 years later...as Facebook was just coming know, thank goodness, he found me and we reconnected.
After a few weeks of phone conversation, I was coming to Moose Jaw. So we decided to get together for coffee ( I ended up bringing my three year old ...). We visited for a couple of hours, my little one got hungry and I had promised her McDonald's. Instead of this being the end of our "first "date, he came along...because a man needs to eat you know! I had also promised my girl to go swimming and the date day continued. That was Jan 27,2008
One of the best days of my life!
It was hard to be living in two different towns, we talked every night, visited on the weekends. We loved just spending time together. He said it was my cooking that kept bringing him back ☺️
June 28, 2008 he asked me to marry him...of course! There is no one else I wanted to spend the rest of my life with!
Sept 13,2008 we got married!
It was a bit of a whirlwind, some thought us to be crazy because it all happened so fast. But that is us! A little crazy. We still love just hanging out going for a drive just to get out of the house. Because we now have three girls (13, 7 and 5) so it can get loud and busy in our house.
We love doing things for each other. He makes my coffee in the morning, I pack his lunches, he takes care of the laundry a lot of the time, sends sweet emails just because, I make his favourite meals on a Whim just to make him feel special. Holding hands, stealing kisses ( makes our kids crazy ). We are normal we fight about bills and chores, but at the end of the day we have our tea, say I love you and do not go to bed angry. We share our dreams for the future and look forward to our time together after the kids are in bed, even if it is just watching tv in peace and quite
This is how our crazy life started. And we plan on being just as crazy 50 years from now!
I truly have the sweetest hubby in the world... he thinks I am pretty awesome too! Love you Always Gerald

TIFFANY & JARRYD
My name is Tiffany Eddy. I would like to enter my fiancé and I into the Moose Jaw's sweetest couple contest. We have been together for almost 12 years (crazy, I know!) and just got engaged over the Christmas holidays. I would love to win this and enjoy the day with just him. We're both busy people with work and each of us taking online courses, a little break is always needed.

MICHELLE & JEFF
I met my husband 14 years ago. We met through work and knew each other for 5 years, he asked me out several times but I always came up with a excuse why I could not go out with him. He is 6 years younger than I and I was a single mom to a little boy. I did not think he was ready for that kind if relationship and my son came first. Well after 5 years of asking I said yes but..... He was not to meet my son for at least 6 months, after about a month he called my house and asked my son to go to fudruckers with him. I called him back and said "what did I tell you?" He said I love you and I want to show you I'm up for this long term. Long story short 6 months he asked my son for my hand in marriage and proposed to me. I said "yes" 8 months later we were married and he and my son also exchanged wedding vows and rings. Here we are 14 years later , we have one son together and our marriage is stronger than ever. He's my happily ever after and still makes me weak at the knees. I love this man for everything he's done and still does for me and my boys after all these years.
