Bring out the shovel. The first winter storm warning of the season has been issued.

Hazardous winter conditions are forecast to take us back into the workweek. Parts of the province could exceed 30 cm of snow by the time it's all said and done.

An intense low-pressure system is coming through the prairies and meteorologists predict snow in Moose Jaw could last through Monday night.  Warmer temperatures are expected by mid-week.

The areas south of Swift Current and west of Assiniboia will likely see the worst of it with the unfavorable conditions expected to hang around longer. Visibility on local highways could become problematic. Check the Road Report before leaving the city.
