It's plug-in weather to start the week

An extremely cold morning has brought an extreme cold warning from Environment Canada.  The warning has been issued for the Regina/Lumsden and Indian Head areas, in addition to the Weyburn and Estevan regions.

Windchills in the -40 range are there to start the day, and will last much of the time into tomorrow morning.  The regular reminders about proper winter attire are mentioned, in addition to the fact that frostbite and hypothermia can set in after prolonged exposure to the cold, and that infants and seniors are most susceptible.

In the Moose Jaw area, the wind is expected to pick up, giving a windchill factor of -37 at times today.
