Over 20mm of rain will certainly help to jump start the crop that's already been planted and help to alleviate some of the wildfire concerns here in Southern Saskatchewan. The rain started Wednesday afternoon and progressed into thunderstorm activity overnight with some of the heaviest rain coming Thursday morning.

Unstable air over the Moose Jaw area could result in some sporadic thundershowers until things start to clear up Thursday night but the moisture is certainly welcome after a very long, dry spring so far.

With the new moisture, things will be a bit muggy as we climb into the upper 20s and maybe even see +30 degrees for the weekend. The heat and moisture could also combine to create some pop up storms over the course of the next few days.
