They've raised $4.7 million over 29 years and this year, they might just hit the $5 million mark.

The Moose Jaw Health Foundation's Festival of Trees returns Saturday night in a virtual format.

You can get registered on the health foundation's website ahead of the event here, they also have more information on Facebook.

"It's going to be entertaining time, and more items are being added daily at the Cultural Center and online as well," said Moose Jaw Health Foundation Foundation Executive, Director Kelly McElree.

Money raised from the event continues to stay in the community, specifically for equipment in the Dr. FH Wigmore Regional Hospital.

The money will be spent on new state-of-the-art training programs, the local home care system funding, and mental health initiatives for health care workers.

"It's no secret that COVID has taken a toll on health care workers and the mental health of health care workers funds are going to go to towards one on one counselling at the hospital for health care workers," McElree explained. "Anything that they need to help them and they help their mental health."
