Door to door driveway repair scams are making their way through Saskatchewan.

The provincial financial and consumer affairs authority are warning residents that some salespeople may not be licenced or may use leftover materials resulting in low quality work.

Salespeople may use on-the-spot leftover materials from other housing projects, which may look good until it crumbles and cracks as it dries.

Anyone going door to door wanting to pave your driveway will need to have a licence under the Direct Sellers Act. Check to see if they're listed on the Better Business Bureau's directory and if they are, read customer reviews.

Make sure everything is documented in writing and ask questions if you don't understand something and don`t feel pressured on the spot to make a decision about driveway repair.
