Moose Jaws annual Warm Up to Spring horse show took place over with the weekend at the Exhibition grounds Goldenmile Arena.

The show began Friday and continued through Sunday, which allowed for many riders to showcase their skill and grace.

Shanneen Ingram, who has been riding for 18 years, attended the event and described what the judges look for. "There's two different divisions, there are Hunter divisions and Jumper divisions. The Hunters are more about elegance and how you perform and look. The Jumpers are more about precision and speed."

Ingram noted that the days are early as they prepare for competition, describing what their morning routines looks like. "Feeding your horse, walking them around, brushing, cleaning, cleaning out the stall and getting them ready and then mentally preparing for the horse show and what you're gonna tackle that day."

She added that her experience this year has been a great one and that the shows in Moose Jaw are always great.
