The heat wave is here and the records are already falling as five new daytime highs sent forecasters to the record books for some editing.

Environment Canada's modern record high for Moose Jaw was broken as well as we reached 5.6 degrees, breaking their old record from 2015. However, the historical record still stands at +8 degrees, set back in 1926. There are several sets of record books for Moose Jaw as the weather station has been moved over the years.

We could break an all time record Thursday though. With a forecasted high of 9 degrees we would just sneak past the current record of 8.3 from 1900.
