As the fall sitting of the legislation wraps up, the province has introduced new legislation that will protect the job of a victim of domestic violence and give them some piece of mind while they work through their situation.

The new legislation would allow up to 10 unpaid days of leave to seek help, speak with police or move to a new home during the difficult period of time.

The proposal was introduced this week as a way to provide more support to victims.
