A local school is getting $10,000 thanks to the Mosaic Extreme School Makeover Challenge. The program offered ten Saskatchewan schools $10,000 each to support student nutrition.

After getting 70 applications, Vanier Collegiate made the cut and will get a cheque. The high school plans on using the funds to develop sustainable school business, promote healthy food choices while also purchasing kitchen and garden equipment.

“This year we received a record 70 applications for the Makeover Challenge and the winning schools and their projects are once again impressive and inspiring,” said Sarah Fedorchuk, Vice-President, Public Affairs and Government Relations at The Mosaic Company. “We’re very excited to hear more about their efforts to make nutrition a daily part of student lives with the funding Mosaic provides.”
