The future of Valley View is up for discussion in Moose Jaw today as the provincial government kicks off a series of public meetings over the next two weeks.
The first of the meetings will be today here in Moose Jaw with the first being held from from 2 until 5pm with the second running from 6 until 9 at Valley View. Meetings are also planned for Regina, Prince Albert and Saskatoon.
While they are are open to the public, the meetings are aimed at potential group home operators since residents are being moved from Valley View into the community when it closes in 2016. The problem is that there aren't enough homes at this point.
