Upgrades for Temple Gardens Crosswalk

Moose Jaw City Council has approved some upgrades to the crosswalk in front of the Temple Gardens Mineral Spa.

Concerns regarding the crosswalk have been growing since a heavy amount of vehicle and pedestrian traffic flows through that corridor each day.

Council has approved approximately 20 thousand dollars in upgrades to construct sidewalk islands to prevent illegal parking, subsequently clearing sight lines for pedestrians and drivers. The spa has agreed to pay for a part of the project.

The upgrades have been referred to next year's budget deliberations although the topic is expected to be discussed again at next week's council meeting.
