***PREVIOUS VERSION***

A number of locals spent the night watching from a distance on Ominica Street East in Moose Jaw.

The Moose Jaw Police Service had most of the neighborhood barricaded and a home on the 400 blocks Ominica East surrounded.

We believe that action started around 10 o'clock last night and then, around 4 am, police were able to arrest a suspect, apparently without violence.

It was late yesterday afternoon that police and paramedics were called to a scene in an apartment block downtown on 1st Avenue North West and Stadacona.

It's not clear if the two incidents are related. We're expecting details from the Moose Jaw Police Service this morning.
