A wild situation led to a grass fire on 9th Ave NW.

A motorist heading southbound on 9th Ave NW between Normandy Drive and Simcoe Drive was driving their truck when the trailer carrying their boat unhitched in the middle of traffic.

The boat went into the Northbound lane, striking the curb, sending sparks flying onto the embankment below, causing a grass fire.

The Moose Jaw Fire Department got the call of the grass fire, managed to contain it to the embankment, and help the motorist connect their boat back to their truck.

Luckily, no one was injured and there were only minor damages to the boat trailer.

The boat hit this curb and took out some of the greenery on the edge.

The boat involved in the situation.
