RCMP are now releasing details after that serious collision Thursday afternoon on the TransCanada Highway near Parkbeg.

Emergency crews were called just after 1 o'clock when two vehicles collided head on near the community west of Moose Jaw. Investigators say a brown van was travelling westbound in the eastbound lane and collided with a pick up truck. The 86 year old driver of the van from Regina and the 56 year old driver of the truck from Central Butte were both killed.

No names have been released as the investigation continues. The highway was closed for over six hours as emergency crews attended to the scene.
