The Canadian Armed Forces were first requested to join the fight against COVID-19 a few short weekes ago and soon hundred of CAF members will be fighting the virus in long term care facilities on both Quebec and Ontario.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivered an address this morning.

"As we battle the COVID-19 pandemic the Canadian Armed Forces are on the front lines in our seniors home heloping to protect and take care of our most vulernable citizens. Even as up to 915 soldiers are deployed on Operation REASSURANCE in Europe, the CAF will soon have more that 500 serving in 13 long term care facilities in and around Montreal."

The address this morning was largely about the latest news on a helicopter crash involving 6 CAF members that took place yesterday evening near Greece. A crash that has so far been confirmed to have killed one of the occupants.
