Icy, slippery with some blowing snow.  That's basically what all roads in and out of Moose Jaw are reporting to start the day after that snow storm blew in Wednesday. And for the record, the Old Farmer's Almanac was bang on with their forecast.  Early this month they told us to expect a dump of snow around December 28th.

Complicating things was the rain that also fell with the snow in the southwest. The rain and snow combined to create some very icy sections and that ice is still being reported by Saskatchewan Highways.

Fresh blowing snow is said to be reducing visibility as we expect up to 6cm of snow by Friday morning.  Around noon Thursday the snow should turn to rain causing even more problems.
