According to updates from the Highway Hotline, travel all around Moose Jaw is not recommended. The travel warning extends to Regina and Swift Current.

This is due to the arctic ridge of high pressure pushing cold air into Saskatchewan. Environment Canada released a  cold weather warning saying that extremely cold air as well as heavy snow is expected tonight and will likely continue throughout the week. There is a high risk of frost bite and hypothermia. Environment Canada is saying that if people must go outside or are traveling they should dress in layers and cover up as much skin as possible as frostbite can develope in minutes. Also, it was advised to bring all pets in doors.

Environment Canada also suggested to have extra blankets, booster cables, and other emergency supplies in your vehicle if traveling during this weather.
