A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for much of southern Saskatchewan. Forecasters said conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and torrential rainfall. A cold front pushed eastward across southern Saskatchewan Wednesday afternoon and set off thunderstorms, some of which were severe.

Heavy rainfall hit around 3pm and lasted only 10-15 minutes, but produced a lot of rain.

The system, which was moving eastbound, put Moose Jaw and much of southern Saskatchewan under severe thunderstorm watches and warnings.
