It's a lofty goal. One they hope to achieve with your help.

Souls Harbour Rescue Mission and Riverside Mission are hoping to raise another $2.5 million to cover the cost of a new facility in the city.

Construction for the new Souls Harbour Rescue Mission building is expected to take place between April and June of next year, so fundraising is well underway.

The total cost comes in at $4.5 million. To continue with the fundraising efforts, the organization launched a 50/50 last month, and Friday is your last chance to purchase tickets.

"We have about a million dollars in funding set aside now, and then SHRM has a million dollars in cash right now. So, that leaves a balance of $2.5 million - so we're raising funds against that $2.5 million," explained Joe Miller, executive director of Souls Harbour Rescue Mission, the owners of Riverside Mission.

Once the money is raised and construction wraps up, Riverside Mission will be relocating to their new building on the 200 block of River Street West in downtown Moose Jaw.

The new building will offer 12 housing suites for rent that will be all-inclusive. The facility will also provide meal programs, along with additional beds in the men's homeless shelter, and will offer addiction services for men who come through the door.

This new facility will also become one of the largest distribution centers of food and clothing in southern Saskatchewan for those in need, serving Moose Jaw, Estevan, Assiniboia, Swift Current, and Weyburn.

50/50 tickets are sold for $20 each, 5 for $50, 20 for $100, and 100 tickets for $250. To purchase yours, click here

The deadline to buy tickets is Friday at 11 am with the draw taking place at noon.
