With the announcement this morning of Saskatchewan's first presumptive case of COVID-19, The Juno Awards, scheduled for this weekend in Saskatoon, have been cancelled.

Shaunavon's Hunter Brothers were scheduled to be at the awards. They have two nominations including Breakthrough Group, and Country Album of the Year for their State of Mind album.

Juno officials say they are devastated to cancel the national celebration of Canadian music, but they feel it's important to put the health, safety and well-being of all Canadians at the forefront of any decisions that affect its communities.

They add that they are trying to find another way to honor this year's awards winners.
