It's Canada's 149th birthday on July 1st and there's tons of great activities happening in Moose Jaw.

Aaron Ruston is the chair of the Canada Day Committee and says there will be a ton of things to do for the whole family to enjoy.

The day will start off with a pancake breakfast for five dollars a plate at the Cosmo Senior Citizens' Centre at 8 am.

Ruston says that they are "going to rock the block" with the entertainment they will have set up at the Crescent Park Amphitheater. From 1 pm to 5 pm there will be "food and concessions... face painting,... balloons for the kids", and the musical entertainment will also start at 1 pm with the Band City Band followed by several other performers.

The day will end with a fireworks display at the Hamilton Flats starting at 10:30 pm.
