It was a unique Telemiracle this year with most of the show being pre-recorded but that didn't stop the phones from ringing.

The 45th edition of the Telemiracle wrapped up last night in Saskatoon, raising over $5.63 million.

“The generosity of Saskatchewan people is amazing and it showed again this year in their support of Telemiracle,” said Telemiracle 45 Chair Brian Angstadt. “Once again, Telemiracle brought our province together and the impact of these donations will be felt across Saskatchewan during these times when residents need it the most."

This year, there was no live audience, with most of the live performances done via remote video. The national cast hosts were in-studio in Saskatoon, with 75 pre-recorded performances done over the months leading up to the telethon.

“Our producers did a great job throughout the entire year of planning, working closely with the health authorities and making sure everyone involved with this year’s production followed all the COVID safety guidelines and protocols,” said Angstadt. “We did our best to follow, keep up with, and exceed all the COVID safety protocols and guidelines at all times.”

Since the inception of the event in 1977 over $145 million has now been raised.
