The funds from the telethon go to the Kinsmen Foundation for specialized medical equipment and mobility equipment and assisting with medical travel expenses.

Over 1,000 applications are taken in each year by the foundation from Saskatchewan residents in need of assistance.

Since 1977, Telemiracle has raised over $140 million.

"I am thrilled and humbled by the generosity of Saskatchewan people that supported Telemiracle this year," Telemiracle 33 chair Jesse Shkuratoff said in a press release.

This year's show included 80 acts from Saskatchewan, including Moose Jaw local band Toque and dancer Abbegayle Day.

At the end of the show, Nutrien matched the donations made by the performers as well as their employees, presenting a cheque for over $150,000.
