SaskTel employees continued to give back to the communities they work in through TelCare. The employee-driven charitable donation program gave nearly $230,000 to 61 locally operated charities and non-profit organizations across Saskatchewan.

Employees of the Crown phone company contribute to TelCare through a voluntary payroll deduction, and then SaskTel matches 50 percent of employee donations.

This is the 70th anniversary of TelCare. It started in 1950 and is SaskTel’s longest-running community investment program. Over the past 20 years of the program, employees, along with SaskTel’s top-up, have donated over $6 million.
