Swift Current Police are looking for more information after a single vehicle collision which left a stranded vehicle in the Swift Current Creek

The red 2014 Dodge truck involved with the crash was found on its side in the creek after police say it was driving southbound on 6th Avenue North East when it breached a guardrail and hit the creek, leaving half of the vehicle sticking through the ice.

RCMP, the Fire Department, and EMS were all on the scene, and say that they received a call about the crash around 6:00 am.

Emergency responders at the scene say that when they arrived at the crash site the driver of the vehicle was not present. The Swift Current RCMP say that the owner of the truck says they were not driving the vehicle, and instead 26-year-old Colton Koop may have been in possession of the truck.

Police are currently looking to confirm Koop's wellbeing as well as how the vehicle ended up in the creek

Anyone with information about Koop's whereabouts or information about the incident is asked to call Swift Current Municipal RCMP.

The road is currently open for use.
