Count Tom Lukiwski among the Conservatives happy with Andrew Scheer's party leadership win on Saturday. It was a surprise, but not a shock when Scheer won on the weekend.

Lukiwski, the Moose Jaw-Lake Centre-Lanigan Member of Parliament, says Scheer has all of the qualities needed to lead Canada's official opposition.

"I have an incredibly high regard for Andrew." said Lukiwski. "His intelligence, his enthusiasm, integrity. All of those attributes are going to serve him very well."

Scheer, the MP for Regina-Qu'appelle, defeated 12 other hopefuls at the Conservative convention over the weekend.  The 38-year old Scheer and Lukiwski have each held their seats in Parliament since 2004.
