According to a press release published by GasBuddy.com in December, Canadians will have collectively spent more than $54 billion filling up their tanks in 2019.

Patrick DeHaan, head of Petroleum Analysis at GasBuddy, said that Canadian driving habits require filling up every week or so, which makes fuel a pricey expense over the course of an entire year.

"By buying gas on the cheapest day instead of the most expensive day of the week, Canadians can collectively bring down their expenses by timing their purchases to the lowest priced day of the week – a simple yet noticeable change in behaviour that can add up."

A study published by GasBuddy on December 17, 2019, found that in from the period of January 1 – December 3 of this year, Tuesdays offered the lowest average prices in 5 of the 10 provinces, including Saskatchewan. With Mondays and Fridays having the highest average prices.

GasBuddy says also that it pays to shop around and warns that speeding is expensive, as even a change from 100 kilometres per hour to 120 will reduce fuel consumption by as much as 15 percent.

Gas prices in Moose Jaw are at and have been steady around the 109.9 cents per litre mark for a while now.
