Central and Eastern Saskatchewan are being told to prepare for some severe weather today as a system develops to the west and south of the province.

The converging weather systems could create some major weather that is likely going to be focused over the Yorkton region, according to weather models that have been released. They could see high winds, damaging hail and the potential for tornadoes.

Moose Jaw is just below the potential area for the storm, but there is still a risk of thundershowers tonight along with high winds.
