It's about to get windy.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Southern Saskatchewan, warning that a fast-moving clipper system will be moving across the prairies, bringing with it wind gusts up to 80km/hr.

The wind will be picking up Friday afternoon out of the south and is expected to switch to a strong northwest wind through to Saturday evening.
