The Precautionary Water Advisory in place for some residents on South Hill has now been lifted.

The Water Security Agency, in consultation with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, has given the go-ahead to use the tap water again on July 1st, as the samples from the distribution system came back okay and the system has since been flushed.

Those households include:

100 – 200 Block of Home Street East, Lillooet Street East, Iroquois Street East, Elsom Street East
000 – 100, 200 Block of Maple Street East
Coteau Street 1st – 9th Street South East
Dufferin Ave
7th Avenue South East from Victoria to Coteau
Victoria Street from Dufferin to 7th Avenue
9th Avenue Viaduct
Pasqua water users

The City will deliver green notices to make residents aware their water is safe to drink. If any of the previously mentioned households don't receive this notice, their water is still safe to drink.

The advisory went out after crews working on the 1st Avenue Bridge reconstruction project had to do some work on the East Feeder Line, which caused the line to depressurize. When something like that occurs, there's no guarantee of water quality and so the water advisory is issued.
