After a significant water main break on South Hill, the City of Moose Jaw has placed a boil water advisory for the residents of South Hill.

The break occurred last night near the water reservoir on South Hill at 12th Ave. SW between Coteau and Lillooet St. W.

The City is already working on repairs, but the break was large enough to affect south and west portions of South Hill.

A letter from the Water Security Agency Saskatchewan says "that a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA) has been placed on the residents and users in the South Hill area from 5th Avenue and Lillooet Street to the Western City Limits on the City of Moose Jaw’s treated water distribution system. This advisory is effective immediately until further notice."

If you have experienced a loss of water, please notify the city, and boil your water to be safe until further notice.

The city is working to repair the break as fast as possible.

The advisory will not be lifted until it is determined that the water is completely safe
