Drivers are being asked to use caution as we head into the weekend.

After some precipitation moved across the province between Thursday and Friday it created less than ideal driving conditions for morning commuters and drivers heading to work and school.

So far things within the city have been under control however, there have been a few accidents on highways, one of which was reported between Moose Jaw and Regina where a vehicle hit the ditch. The Highway Hotline had also considered a stretch of road on the west side of Swift Current on highway 1 as travel not recommend, and everything else south of our city as winter conditions exist.

Posts on social media, which intend to keep drivers in the loop of current conditions, urge most people to wait for crews to clear the highway or suggest that people drive below the speed limit as they attempt to get to their destination.
