The Saskatchewan dance community is hoping to keep dance at the forefront of everyone's mind.

The #SKDancesTogether will be flooding social media today with studios across the province creating routines while wearing Saskatchewan colours.

The goal is to unite the studios and show people how important the dance community is.

Approximately 120 different studios are participating in this event.

Barb Jackman, owner of Dance Images by BJ, says the dancers miss performing.

"All of our dancers came in to film, right from our seniors to our little guys," said Jackman.

She says they wanted to create some buzz around communities and remind people about the art.

"Hopefully people watch it and share it. Through the pandemic with fewer opportunities to be in the public eye, sometimes out of sight out of mind."
