Bravo Zulu (well done) to a group of local cadets who are being celebrated for their hard work and dedication. The six members of the #99 Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Assiniboine based here in Moose Jaw received their certificates for achieving the bronze level for the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Chief Petty Officer Second Class Parker Boczkowski was very proud to receive the honour that takes time and effort to complete, but helps to prepare the participates for their future as leaders in their communities.

"It's an international award for ages 14 to 24," explained Bozkowski. "You have to do volunteering, physical activity, adventure journey and for my skill, I did rope work."

Jamiee Hodgeson, Tristan Jakins, Will Hales, Jaxon Nancarrow and Jayden Wells also received the honour at Moose Jaw City Hall this week.

If you'd like to find out more about trying to complete the program or if you know a local youth or young adult who might be interested, all of our local sea, air and army cadet programs will have the details that you need but you don't have to be a member.
