Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the city of Moose Jaw and surrounding RMs. Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

These thunderstorms are moving eastward across the province and are expected to last into the night. Because of the danger hail, lightning, and strong winds can bring, residents are advised to take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
