Seven more Saskatchewan residents who had tested positive for COVID-19 have died, as 328 new cases were reported Friday, and 300 recoveries.

One of the reported deaths was in the 50-59 age group from the northeast, three were in the 70-79 age group from the northwest, Saskatoon and Regina, and three were in the 80+ age group from the northwest (1) and Regina (2).

Of the new cases, 90 are in Saskatoon, 58 in Regina, 30 in the far northwest, 27 in the northwest, 26 in the north-central zone, 25 in the central-east, 19 in the southeast, 16 in the far northeast, 13 in the northeast, nine in the central-west, three in the far north-central zone, three in the south-central zone, and one in the southwest. Eight of the new cases are pending resident information.

2,499 cases are considered active, and 218 are in hospital with 185 receiving inpatient care, and 33 in intensive care.
