Manitoba Street East between Main Street and 1st Ave Northeast will be the next section completed as Phase 3 of the Water Main Replacement Project continues.

This portion should take about three weeks to finish. Communications Manager for the City, Craig Hemingway, explained that work is on schedule so far thanks to the lack of moisture.

"We're making really good progress, pretty much on schedule. We've completely finished three of the sites that we're doing this year, and construction continues on three others at this time."

Following signage and knowing that businesses are remaining open are some things the City would like residents to keep in mind during construction.

"Watch for detours that are in place, as well as watch out for all posted signage. We stress that all local businesses remain open and there will be local access to all of the business on the 0 block of Manitoba Street East so people can still frequent those places. We appreciate everyone's patience while improving the city's infrastructure."

Once all of the underground pipes are replaced on the 0 block, they will continue to do the 100 and 200 blocks of Manitoba Street East.
