It's going to get loud in Moose Jaw on May 21st and 22nd because the Season Opener Show is coming back to take over the city.

The weekend-long events are being hosted by Regina’s Next Gen Car Club and Roadway Auto and Sport with the support from several different sponsors.

The festivities begin Saturday night with a sunset cruise.

Car lovers are encouraged to bring out their nicest rides to the Town ‘n’ Country mall one hour before sunset. Then all the beautiful cars will go on a joyride around the city and on the highway to admire the sunset.

The event is being sponsored by the Heritage Inn which is offering discounted room prices to anyone coming to the event for the weekend.

Then on Sunday, everyone can start the day off with cars and coffee at the local Starbucks. From there, everyone can head down to Tatawaw park for the ultimate Show and Shine car show.

Not only do people get to admire some gorgeous cars but the Show and Shine is also supporting the Moose Jaw Food Bank.

People are encouraged to bring monetary donations or nonperishable food items that will go directly to the food bank.

The Show and Shine will start at 1 pm and will have vendors, food trucks, a live DJ, prize giveaways, face painting booths, competitions and much more.

People can register their cars for the show between 1 pm and 2 pm as space is available.

Show cars can enter for $10, spectators can enter for $5.

"Kids and pets are both free so we want everyone to bring the family out. It's going to be a really great day down there in the park," says Austin Murray, admin of Next Gen Car Club.
