As some local Moose Javians lament the loss of Sears, the rest of Canada is about to learn the fate of the financially strapped retailer.

Sears Canada is now applying to close all of their stores, ending the Canadian tradition of the Christmas Wish Book. The arrival of the thick, high gloss catalogue signalled the start of the holiday season as kids made their wish list for Santa.

Reports released Tuesday indicate that Sears has failed to find a buyer to help save them from bankruptcy. Official say if the move is approved, the final clear out could start as early as next week at the remaining stores.
