With just 6 months left until marijuana will become legal in Canada, more and more organizations are lending their two cents to the discussion over what Saskatchewan should do.

Provinces have been charged with coming up with the laws over how cannabis will be regulated including age for use and terms of sale. The Saskatchewan School Boards Association is calling on the province to keep our youth front and centre when they draft their proposal.

Six key points have been proposed by the school boards including a minimum age of consumption being set at 22, funds generated through cannabis taxation should be directed to education and health, no advertising for cannabis be allowed, no use in public areas or property where youth will be and a ban on stores selling product near schools.
