The City of Moose Jaw is set to begin the construction phase of the Buffalo Pound to Moose Jaw Water Supply Transmission Line Project on Monday.

New PVC pipe, approximately 20 km in length, will be replace the steel pipe between Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant to Moose Jaw’s Northeast and High Service Reservoirs.

This new pipeline will help ensure a reliable portable water supply for the two areas.

To facilitate the project, contractors will have to continue the auger bore crossings at Thatcher Drive and Wood Lily Drive, which will close northernmost westbound lane on Thatcher Drive for an area west of Wood Lily.

Barricades and signage will be up in the area, and drivers and pedestrians are asked to proceed with caution.

The work is expected to last from December 11th to the 22nd.
