A request for proposal (RFP) for third party management of Mosaic Place will be reissued as a result of Moose Jaw City Council's decision earlier this week.

The process that took place in camera at Monday's executive committee meeting after Puffalt said they had one proposal come back.

“We sent it to council for review, and than as council reviewed, they found one area they wanted to take out of the RFP, so they decided to reissue it,” said Puffalt.

It's not entirely like going back to the drawing board, he said.

“It was more so, council wanted to change a provision of the RFP, and they thought since they were changing something that they should re-issue it altogether,” he said.

After the dissolution of the Downtown Facility and Fieldhouse board in 2018, it was decided that the city would bring in third party management of Mosaic Place.

“We’ve put out the RFP and we’ll see if people are interested and what happens,” he said.

Puffalt said the city only received the one submission when they released the RFP in February. This request will be open until May 24, and Puffalt expects it will be in front of council in the first meeting of June.

Mosaic Place will have their annual general meeting May 2 at the facility.
