Two Moose Jaw residents have come forward to announce their intentions to run for the NDP in the provincial riding of Moose Jaw Wakamow.

The Moose Jaw Wakamow NDP Nomination Meeting will take place at Timothy Eaton Gardens on Saturday, February 29th.

Melissa Patterson and current Moose Jaw city councilor, Crystal Froese will be vying for the opportunity.

Both are expected to be in attendance at a nomination meeting this Saturday at the Timothy Eaton Gardens along with the New Democratic Party leader, Ryan Meili.

The Moose Jaw Wakamow nomination convention will be held from 12:30 - 3:30 pm. 

Incumbent, Sask Party MLA Greg Lawrence is seeking a third term in the next provincial election.

The date of the next election is yet to be announced but is expected this fall.
